Money and work
What does the Bible say about success?
Biblical success is measured by faithfulness rather than applause, and by love rather than accumulation.
What Scripture says
Joshua 1:8
“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”
Proverbs 16:3
“Commit your deeds to the LORD, and your plans shall succeed.”
Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the LORD’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.”
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.”
