Psalm 34:18

The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Proverbs 31:8-9

Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.”

Psalm 82:3-4

“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”

Romans 12:19
