The spiritual world
What does the Bible say about astrology and horoscopes?
Scripture warns against seeking guidance from the stars, pointing instead to the God who made them.
What Scripture says
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
“There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. Because of these abominations, the LORD your God drives them out from before you.”
Isaiah 47:13-14
“You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will happen to you. Behold, they are like stubble. The fire will burn them. They won’t deliver themselves from the power of the flame. It won’t be a coal to warm at or a fire to sit by.”
Jeremiah 10:2
“The LORD says, “Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.”
Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.”
