What does the Bible say about repentance?
Repentance is a change of mind that turns into a change of direction. Scripture pairs it with God's readiness to forgive completely.

Acts 3:19
““Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,”
1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
“if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Luke 15:7
“I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.”
