Living and character
What does the Bible say about serving others?
Greatness in God's kingdom is measured by service. Jesus washed feet and said He came to serve, not to be served.
What Scripture says
Mark 10:43-45
“But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant. Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all. For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.””
Galatians 5:13
“For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.”
Philippians 2:3-4
“doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.”
1 Peter 4:10
“As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.”
