What does the Bible say about wisdom?
Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord and is given generously to those who ask for it.
What Scripture says
Proverbs 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
James 1:5
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
Proverbs 3:13
“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.”
Colossians 2:2-3
“that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.”
